A lot of parents, including me, are homeschooling our kids this year. While we are doing the major subjects at home, we are also looking for enrichment activities that help bringing learning to life. If you, like us, are looking for homeschooling enrichment activities, then take a look at the locations below.

In-Person Homeschool Programs in Orlando

Here are 10 in-person homeschool programs in Orlando that we recommend.

Homeschool Classes

These attractions offer specific homeschool classes for kids.

Brevard Zoo

Brevard Zoo is nationally recognized for its education programs. What they call the Jr. Zoo crew will learn through interactive lessons as well as animal encounters and much more. Check out their website to pick the best class for your kiddo.

Hours: Themed days and times are available 2 days a month according to age group.

Central Florida Zoo

Central Florida Zoo hosts on-site Homeschool Zooventures from September to May. Take an adventure with up close animal encounters, activities, games and more. Each class is grouped by age for age appropriate learning. Take a look at their themed schedule to choose the right class for your kiddo.

Crealdé School of Art

Crealdé School of Art offers homeschool art classes for kids from age 5-11. The homeschool art class is a general course exploring art from many different lands. Kids will learn about the world through art and about art through the world. While they are not offering other classes during the day, Crealdé does offer numerous other classes in the afternoon for kids such as drawing, painting, pottery, photography and more.

Hours: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 10AM- 12pm

If you are looking for Enrichment Classes at home, then we recommend Outschool. Our kids have taken a bunch of different classes from Greek Mythology to themed Escape rooms and more and have enjoyed them all.

Marine Discovery Center

While the Marine Discovery Center is not in Orlando, it is close enough that it a great homeschool enrichment option for Orlando families and offer kids an opportunity to get out on the water. Kids will ride on the Discovery boat to an island for a total immersion experience. Kids will be able to cast nets and discover, identify, and discuss the sea life found in Indian River Lagoon. Ages 4-18

Orange County Regional History Center

Orange County Regional History Center offers homeschool days where your kiddo can learn something new each month. Experience learning through exciting hands-on activities while exploring the unique local and national history.

Hours: 1PM-3PM 2nd Friday of the month

Orlando Science Center

Orlando Science Center hosts homeschooling days for students in grades K-8, and runs September – May. Each month is themed and includes Discovery lab, a guided exhibit tour, educational films, and work samples for your students portfolio.

Hours: 10AM-2PM twice monthly

Synapse STEM Education

Synapse STEM Education’s Homeschool Lab provides your children with a tutorial experience, helping to familiarize and enrich your kids with the ever growing technology world. A course is offered every week and split over 2 days, allowing the kiddos time to explore the topic and complete the activity. Kiddos will expand their minds while completing projects and activities in Robotics, 3D Design and Printing, Programming, Internet of Things, and AI. Ages 5-15

Please note that there must be 6 participants to host a class.

Homeschool Days

These educational attractions offer specific homeschool days that kids can attend. While the attractions themselves are educational, specific classes are not offered.

Gatorland

Gatorland offers discounted rates during their annual Homeschool Days. Experience one of a kind shows on their 110-acre wild preserve and theme park. Gatorland wouldn’t be complete without their over 2,000 gators and crocodiles, petting zoo, bird rookery, and splash park.

Outside of their special homeschool days, families can visit Gatorland any weekday from 10am – 5pm and make it into their own “homeschool day”.

Sea Life Orlando Aquarium

Sea Life Orlando Aquarium houses over 5,000 amazing creatures. Enjoy a self guided tour, meet their friendly sea turtle, and don’t forget to walk through their 360 degree ocean tunnel where you’ll be surrounded by sea life.

There is a discount rate with homeschool credentials.

WonderWorks

WonderWorks is great for homeschoolers. At WonderWorks, students will experience over 100 exhibits that fuel the imagination and challenge the mind. Classroom activities, lesson plans, and scavenger hunts are available upon request. WonderWorks offers special homeschool rates every weekday from September to November.
