If you are not quite ready to take to the skies, then take to the treetops!  We have compiled a great list of rope courses in Orlando and around the Orlando area.  They range from novice to expert, but the one thing that they all have in common is that they are fun for the entire family!

Here are 10 ropes courses in Orlando and nearby Orlando to check out with the kids. There are a mixture of indoor and outdoor courses, so weather won’t affect you if you want to do this activity.

Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens

Plan your next adventure at the Seminole Aerial Adventures zipline course at the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens.  Soar over the trees or navigate your way through the ropes course.  Children under the age of eighteen are welcome but all participants have to sign a waiver.  The zoo is open daily for families to enjoy all summer long.

Cocoa Beach Aerial Adventures

Located in beautiful Cocoa Beach, Cocoa Beach Aerial Adventures challenges the beginner climber as much as the experienced climber.  The park has seven different courses with three difficulty levels to either have a pleasant day at the park or go to the extreme!  Little ones as young as three can join in on the fun too.

Elev8 yourself to new heights with their incredible ropes course!  Located in Sanford, the family will have a great time from ten feet in the air navigating the obstacle course through barrels, log platforms, and hang walls.  With side rail harnesses, they can play safely and with confidence.

Main Event

Are you ready to test the laws of gravity?  If so, head over to Main Event!  Located on I Drive, the Gravity Ropes course will have you suspended twenty feet in the air.  Test your skills on the balance beam, traverse the tightrope, or test your inner Tarzan while running down the swinging rope bridges.

Nona Adventure Park

Preschoolers and older kiddos will love the Climbing Tower at the Nona Adventure Park.  Climb to a height of sixty feet on the ropes course or race a friend up twin ropes to see who can ring the bell first.  There are some weight and height restrictions for climbers and all young climbers must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Planet Obstacle

Planet Obstacle in Lake Mary offers visitors a full day of adventure and fun.  Try to tackle the two level ropes course and with an attached zip line.  There is even a ropes course for the little ones too!  They are open seven days a week for full throttle fun!

Tree Top Trek Aerial Adventures

About an hour outside of Orlando in Melbourne, Tree Top Trek Aerial Adventures has a little something for the family.  For the little ones, the Chutes an Ladders course has tight ropes, bridges, and zip lines.  For the older ones, the Canopy Walk is perfectly situated twenty feet off the ground.  There are some height and weight restrictions to all the courses and waivers have to be signed for all participants.


Wobbly footbridges?  Yup.  Ziplines?  Yeah, they have those too!  TreeUmph in Bradenton has a little bit of everything for the thrill seeker.  From high impact to low intensity, TreeUmph even has course for little ones ages five to eight.  There are weight and height restrictions as well as waivers that need to be signed for all participants.

Urban Air

Get some serious hang time at Urban Air!  Located in Melbourne, the kiddos will love “hanging” around and swinging through the air once they finish the course.  All of this will be done safely as the little ones will wear kid friendly harnesses.  Children will feel free to leap, scale the spider web, and balance across the beam.

Wonder Works

Visit the upside down house and see what all the excitement is about! Located on I Drive in Orlando, Wonder Works takes families to new heights with their three story, glow in the dark ropes course.  Climbers will scale to a maximum thirty six feet over twenty different obstacles, lily pads, suspension bridges, and more!  This course is for novice to experienced climbers and a great day out for the family.
