Review of Planet Obstacle: Trampolines, zip lines and giant slides, oh my!

Last weekend, I headed over to Planet Obstacle with daughter. In the past, we have been to many a bouncy house (can you say – go to birthday party location) and trampoline parks. But Planet Obstacle seemed like it took both to the next level, at least on paper, so we wanted to see if the promise would be realized. It definitely was, and then some.

What There is To Do

In a word, Planet Obstacle is huge! There is so much to do here that your kids might get whiplash from swiveling their heads back and forth trying to take it all in. They won’t know where to go first.

Planet obstacles has some of the basics that you see at most trampoline parks, such as: multiple trampoline areas, trampoline basketball and foam pit. They then take it up a notch by adding additional fun elements outside of trampolines, such as: a ropes course, zip line (yep an indoor zip line), rock climbing wall, bumper cars, ninja warrior courses (for kids and adults) and a giant slide where you are pulled to the top (or as high as you’ll go, which in the case of my daughter was not very high at all) and then you slide down.

My daughter went on pretty much everything except the ropes course. She told me the ropes course was too high for her, but the zip line not so much; go figure.

Cost

If that sounds like a lot, it is, but most activities are included in a pay-one price fee. An all access pass is $54.95 during the week and $59.95 on weekends. Right now, Planet Obstacle has a fall special going on that reduces the all access pass to $25.95 without the ropes course, $35.95 with the ropes course or a screaming deal of $14.95 for the last two hours before they close.

Birthday Parties

While we were at Planet Obstacle, there were a couple of birthday parties being held and I would say that it is a good place for a birthday party for older kids who don’t need to be watched. Kids will have tons of fun going on all the different attractions and then move to the party area for food and drink (please note this is not a private room). Planet Obstacle has two party options for kids, one that includes food and one that doesn’t, but the price difference is minimal between the two so you might as well get the pizza. We tried the pizza and my daughter described it as “extra cheesy goodness” which it was.

For non-party goers Planet Obstacle does have a café where you can purchase the aforementioned pizza, drinks, sandwiches, kids meals and more. Café prices were reasonable. Please note that they do sell adult beverages.

Who is it Good For

Planet Obstacle is not just for kids; adults can join in the fun as well. I did join my daughter on the trampoline and saw some other adults having a great time bouncing around and doing flips. The adult ninja warrior course is available for any adult brave enough to try. I was not, but the giant slide was definitely calling my name.

Go or No Go

I am sure it will come as no surprise that Planet Obstacle is a go in my book. There is so much to do it will keep kids, and adults, entertained for hours.
