Help the kids be creative this summer and improve on their art skills, all from the comfort of home. The great thing about online art camps is that there are great options that might be flexible enough to fit into and around your busy summer schedule. These art classes are all online and are handled via zoom. Most are during certain days and times of the week as well.

Here are a few great ways for kids to be creative and attend summer camp in the upcoming months, even if they’re not able to attend in person. Make certain to check and see if there are any classes that you can sign up for, too.

Art Academy

The virtual art classes offered through Art Academy are great for kids ages 5-7. They’ll get to choose between cute and cuddly creatures or other fun animal options as well. With a teacher giving life feedback, it’s a great way for the kids to get constructive feedback on ways to help their art grow and improve, all while having fun!

Art Center Online

Talk about choices! No matter what type of art your child is hoping to do, there are ways to make it happen. The offerings through Art Center Online are various and full of fun! There is even an option for an Online Art Show to happen where your child can easily join in on the fun and share their talents, should they choose to want to.

The Center for Contemporary Art

Check out the great online options from The Center For Contemporary Art! Every week there are options for new classes and options to dive into creative fun. The kids will be able to fuel their minds and think outside the box for more fun ways to explore their love of art. 

LACMA Art Camp

Geared towards kids ages 6-8 and ages 9-12, the LACMA Art Camp has a ton of great choices to enroll in. There are options for Comic Art, Weaving, Painting, Comics, and so much more! Be certain to enroll asap as these classes will fill up fast! 

There might be an option for the kids to sign up for multiple classes if the schedule allows so be certain to check on that option, too. 

KidzToPros Art Camp

Don’t miss out on the fun options for KidsToPros Art Camp. There are options for kids as young as age 4 up to age 14! Various classes and camps offered here tend to fill up quickly so be certain to check fast and book your child’s spot asap. 

Interlochen Center for the Arts

This summer online arts camp is geared for grades 3-12 and offers a ton of great choices. The Interlochen Center for the Arts offers classes that showcase visual art as well as the ability to learn even more about the world of art. 

They have several different choices that might be perfect for your child. This is a great chance to also introduce your child to art options that they might not have been used to or thought about before. 

Online Art Classes

While these options are not camps per se, they do offer a variety of art classes that kids can take suring the summer.

Activity Hero

Activity Hero is loaded down with a ton of great classes and options. Some classes are shorter in length than others but all offer great value. Summer classes are available but you can also search over 6,000 individual classes and options, too.

Outschool

Outschool has a variety of art and music class options that you can choose from for your kids. Kids can learn to use paints, pastels, clay and more. They can also learn to sing and play various instruments. Classes are offered at different times of the day to fit a variety of schedules.

Local colleges can also be great resources that may have students that are running various camps online for kids, too. I’ve also had great luck verifying with the city and seeing if they happen to offer any type of art camps or classes virtually as well. Don’t forget that you can also check with your local library or school to see if there are offerings in your area as well.
