October is here and that means celebrating Halloween in Orlando! This is our favorite month of the year as we absolutely adore all the activities around Halloween, such as fall festivals, pumpkin picking and of course getting candy. If you love October as much as we do, here are some fun events you can take the family to celebrate fall and Halloween in Orlando.

Week of October 1 -7

Zombietoberfest

Come out and enjoy over 60 vendors, food trucks, 2 craft beer gardens, music, a cool movie on the big screen (maybe Fantastic Mr. Fox, maybe Little Shop of Horrors, maybe something else – still deciding) and more! Located in the award winning Audubon Park Garden District in Orlando, FL. It’s a family friendly event!

Week of October 8-14

Boots, Bulls and Barrels

Are you ready to rodeo?! Tickets to our 2nd Boots, Bulls and Barrels go on sale this Saturday! Tickets are just $15 for adults and kids 10 and under are free. Don’t miss this spooky, fun-filled rodeo event.

Fangtastic Halloween Kid Crew at Oviedo Mall

Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo is back and more spooktacular than ever! Stop by the Zoo in October to experience this family-favorite Halloween activity featuring more than 30 treat stations each weekend. Once you’ve had your fill of candy, rock out with our DJ, explore the haunted house (recommended for ages eight and up), take an adventure on the Boo Choo Train, channel your competitive spirit with fun games and go for the gold in our costume contest!

My Enchanted Events Venue Halloween Party

Find all the ways to be W-I-C-K-E-D this Halloween at My Enchanted Events Venue! Don’t miss out on the Halloween party of the year hosted by your favorite Villain Kids, the Malicious and Evil Daughters!

Kick-off the party with a character meet & greet, glow-in-the-dark face paint and be sure to stop at our crafts stations to get your candy!

As the night begins to creep in, we’re breaking out our glow sticks for a monsterous dance party! We’re going to boogey down better than the boogeyman himself!

Week of October 15-21

Beyond Stranger Things Haunted House

Beyond Stranger Things will open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from Oct 18th through Oct 27th starting at 7:00PM. Visit our Facebook Page for specific times. Each year our theme is changed to entice our audience and challenge their fears. Visitors are impressed with the creativity and special effects. Our scare factor is right up there with Halloween Horror Nights!!

Halloween Boo Bash

Mad Science and our live DJ will be spooking up the fun in The Grove’s Halloween Boo Bash. Kids can get up close with eerie experiments while the DJ hosts games, contests and a costume parade. trick-or treat throughout The Grove Shops.

Children’s Halloween Ball

It is Halloween and your Favorite witches are Amuck and up to No Good. They will be joined by many of their favorite friends in an Evening of Fun and Dance. Guests young and young-at-heart will enjoy: unique character interactive performances and photo opportunities, a DJ Halloween themed music and dance, Halloween-themed refreshments, memories galore, and more at this unique family-friendly event.

Ocoee Haunted House

The Parks and Recreation Department will hold it’s 11th annual Haunted House on Fridays: October 19th & 26th & Saturdays: October 13th, 20th & 27th. Last year we had 4,600 plus visitors come out and enjoy the spooktacular event!

Truck or Treat

Come out to Reiter Park on Saturday October 20th for truck or treating with a variety of military trucks, and other vehicles , free candy for children, bounce houses, balloon artists, face painters, a hay ride, food vendors and much more.

Trunk or Treat at The Learning Experience

Come join us for our annual Trunk or Treat Extravaganza! This community event invites you to come trick-or treat in a safe, family friendly atmosphere. Enjoy a trip inside our “not so scary” playground, visit food trucks, vendors, and much much more!

Trunks, Treats and More

Bring the whole family to enjoy trunk-or-treating, food, entertainment, a costume contest for children, carnival style and inflatable games, an obstacle course, and more at this free outdoor event! Everyone is invited to visit the Pumpkin Patch during the event to purchase your pumpkins as well!

Week of October 22 -28

Carnival of Screams

This is a three day haunted house event. On Thursday, it will be the haunted house only (no “carnival” with inflatables, games, etc). On both Friday and Saturday the event will include inflatable games, carnival games, and food and drink available for purchase. During the first hour each night, the haunted house will be family-friendly with lights on.

Teenie Weenie Halloweenie

Bring one BIG bag of candy per family to enjoy a morning full of crafts, contests and entertainment. Children will be able to earn candy for each activity they complete.

Join the Osceola County Historical Society on a spirited, Twilight Ghost Tour of Downtown Kissimmee. Ghost Tours will be held in conjunction with Boo! On Broadway hosted by Kissimmee Main Street.

Halloween in Everdream

The Royal Family of Everdream cordially invites you to their Halloween Celebration in the Castle of Everdream! Come dressed as your favorite prince, princess or whatever your imagination can dream up – adults too! We’ll have fun playing games, doing a Halloween craft and dancing to a bubble lights party! Light refreshments will be served and little ones will receive trick or treat candy during their departure! A family-friendly night full of fun, laughs and great memories!

Winter Park Halloween Bash
You’re invited to a freaky Friday filled with FREE Family Fun! The Winter Park Village Halloween Bash is a spooktacular evening of trick-or-treating and family-friendly entertainment. Kids can enter a costume contest (starts at 8pm), enjoy face painting, balloon benders, magicians, fortune tellers, a fun photo booth & much more! Enjoy special deals, food, and candy at participating merchant stores!

Trick or Treat Safe Zone Block Party

Young ghouls and goblins enjoy safe and fun trick or treating throughout the History Center and the Orlando Public Library! This popular event features face painting, creepy crafts, cool treats, and a scavenger hunt along with trick or treat candy. Free for families with children ages 12 and under; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Mr. Richard and the Pound Hounds Halloween Concert

Orlando’s favorite family band is back! With sing-along tunes about fish, skunks, cool snakes, and Halloween fun, Mr. Richard & The Pound Hounds play great music for hip kids, who can preview their costumes by wearing them to the concert before the big night!

Spooky Skate

Go ice skating in your Halloween costume. Fun for the whole family.

Annual Halloween Barn Bash

One of our favorite events of the year! Trick or Treat to horses in costumes! Family fun for all to raise money for a great cause. We will have complimentary halloween themed snacks and refreshments and also treats to purchase for the horses. Invite your friends and neighbors, this is an event that you will be sure to remember! Dress up and come ready for lots of photo opportunities!

Children’s Safety Village Halloween

The Children’s Safety Village and Safe Kids Orange County are inviting families to the 7th Annual Be Safe. Be Seen. Trunk or Treat. This event takes place Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Children’s Safety Village of Central Florida.

Children may dress up in a costume, but it’s not necessary. Community partners, businesses and organizations will decorate the trunks of their cars and distribute “treats” to the children along with important information on safety goods/services to the adults attending.

Maitland’s Fright Night

Come enjoy one of the best times of year with the City of Maitland. Maitland’s Fright Night is a free event for children dressed in their best Halloween costumes! The event is from 4-6 pm at the Community Park and there will be games, snacks, inflatables, a children’s haunted house and a costume contest starting at 5 pm.

O2B Kids Spooktacular

Come out and enjoy s’mores, eerie art, face painting, bounce house, spooky science, haunted house, toddler carnival, trick or treating, costume contest, awesome prizes and more.

Spooky Star Party

Join us for an evening of celestial observation, tales from the night sky, crafts and science activities, and of course…candy! We encourage everyone to dress up in their Halloween best, and we’ll hold our famous children’s costume contest as well!

Like at all planetarium star parties, admission to the event is completely free! All activities, including the “Into The West” planetarium presentation in the star party, are included.

Holy Cross Lake Mary, Trunk R Treat

This completely free family event will provide a whole evening of entertainment. Get candy from two packed rows of trunks, play games for prizes on carnival row, be the hamster to make your own snow cone, bounce in the bounce houses, and participate in costume and other contests.

Northland Church Trunk or Treat

We are excited to invite you and your family to our first ever Trunk or Treat! That’s right! Wear your best not-so-scary Halloween costume and join us for family worship from 5 to 5:45 p.m. (childcare for 3 and under only during the worship service) and then head out to the parking lot anytime from 6 to 9 p.m. for some fun, family fellowship.
