Celebration Father Daughter Dance
Well, it’s a little past Valentine’s Day but still a fun night out! Head to the Great Lawn at Lakeside Park on February 16 for an Enchanted Evening, the Celebration Father Daughter Dance. There will be light fare, dancing and of course music. This event is for Celebration residents only.
Dessert in the Dirt
Lil’ Bit of Life family owned farm in Mt. Dora is hosting Dessert in the Dirt on February 10 from 10am to 2pm. Visitors will get to meet and greet with some of the animals, guests 21 and over will get a complimentary glass of champagne, and then share some delicious treats! Kids will also get to make their own Valentine’s Day cards.
Pony rides and barrel train rides will also be offered at an additional charge.
For the Love of Chocolate 5K
Here’s a guilt free way to enjoy Valentine’s Day! The For the Love of Chocolate 5K is happening on February 11 starting and ending at Southern Hill Farms. Kiddos of all ages are allowed to race as well. Kids registered for the kids’ race will receive a race medal and bib, as well as some Valentine’s chocolate treats.

Fond of U Date Night at JoJo’s ShakeBar
While Fond of U Date Night is billed as a couple’s experience, we think this is a great event to take the kids to as well, just maybe not on Valentine’s Day itself. For one all-inclusive price, receive one entrée person, a choice of the love shake or cupid’s cocoa shake and a fondue set with various treats. This event runs from February 5 to February 16 with two seatings per night. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Drop off the kids for a Saturday morning full of Valentine’s creativity at the Lovely Things class at Kids Create Art. Kids will get to do a variety of Valentine’s crafts, play games, and have lots of fun.

Kids can visit Michael’s to make a DIY Valentine’s day card. There is no cost for this activity. Check your closest Michael’s store to see if they are offering this craft.
Raspberry Heart Macarons Baking Class
Bake some sweet treats for Valentine’s Day! Sur La Table is offering an online Raspberry Heart Macarons class. The instructor will walk you through how to make these sweet treats including making the batter and the filling and then putting it all together.
Sir Henry’s Valentine Party
Celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early at Avian Reconditioning center with Henry, their barn owl. Barn owls are sometimes called Valentines Owl because of their heart shaped face, so who better to have a Valentine’s Day party? Kids can see the birds, make Valentine’s Day card, and there will be sweet treats for purchase.
Ties and Tiaras
Dads and daughters, Ties and Tiaras is a circus themed daddy daughter dance that’s open to everyone. Tickets include access to unlimited soft drinks, light bites and a candy and dessert buffet. There will be circus performers and a live DJ. Make sure to grab some photos at the photo booth
Waterford Lakes Movies on the Lawn
Gather up the entire family and head on over to Waterford Lakes on February 10 for their Movies on the Lawn featuring Lady and the Tramp. Bring a chair and some movie snacks or grab something to-go from one of the restaurants at Waterford Lakes Town Center.
