I love to take my daughter out to tea. It is a fun activity for us to do together and she loves drinking her fruit tea in a fancy cup and eating scones with butter (I shudder at this!). We have some one-on-one time and I can catch with all the “drama” in the life of an elementary school kid. Hopefully, I will be able to take her for tea in London one day, but for now one of these tea rooms in Orlando will do.

Tea Rooms in Orlando: American Girl

I have been to American Girl numerous times for tea with my daughter. It has sort of become a birthday tradition. Tea comes with mini sandwiches, a fruit kabob, muffins, mini burgers and pigs in a blanket. One of our favorites is the chocolate mousse in a flowerpot for dessert. We have a bunch of those flowers. Of course, your doll also gets a little mini tea set to pretend she is drinking tea too. Tea is only served on weekdays and is a very affordable $13.50 per person. They do have special tea events on weekends like the Wellie Wishers Tea Parties which include crafts and a cupcake decorating activity.

Kids will probably enjoy their Tea Snow, which is like a sno cone made from tea. For traditionalists, just note that they serve their scones with butter, honey and jam, not cream.
