WonderWorks is one of our favorite places to visit in Orlando with the kids. It is fun and education wrapped all into one. But did you know that WonderWorks has a dinner show? It is a fun magic show that is perfect for an evening out with the family.

Outta Control Magic Dinner Show

The Outta Control Magic Dinner Show at WonderWorks features a magician performing a variety of magic tricks (I know, you didn’t get that from the title). He performed a variety of tricks including card tricks, making things appear in someone’s pocket, moving items from one person to another and even levitating a table.

You are probably wondering if the magician was good or if you could figure out how he was “making the magic” happen. The magician was very good. A lot of the tricks he did were very complicated and we definitely couldn’t tell how he was pulling them off. I had my 12-year-old with me, and she is normally not a magic show fan as the tricks are usually kind of simplistic and kind of obvious. This definitely wasn’t the case at the Outta Control Magic Dinner Show. You could hear the gasps from the audience, adults and kids alike, and see the wonder on everyone’s face when he pulled off another trick.

Another thing that I really liked about the show is that there was a ton of audience participation. For most of his tricks, the magician either called someone from the audience up onto the stage or asked them a question that directed the trick that he was going to do next. He used a mixture of adults and kids to do the tricks.

Food at Outta Control Magic Dinner Show

For dinner, there is pizza, salad and a seasonal dessert. Each family gets their own bowl of salad and their own pizza. The salad and the pizza were both set on the table when we arrived, so we were able to dig in right away. Ranch dressing is provided on the table for the salad. The pizza was half cheese and half pepperoni, but I am sure you could get all cheese if you don’t eat meat.

Soda or fruit punch is included with the cost of the ticket, as well as wine and beer for the adults; servers come around to pour your choice of beverage as well as to give refills.

Close to the end of the show, you are offered dessert. There is only one option for dessert. The night we were there it was chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and creepy crawly gummies on top.

You are also able to purchase mixed drink specials which change according to the season. Since we visited during Halloween season, they were offering blood in a bag and a green potion as the specialty drinks.

Spooktacular Show Update for Halloween

For the month of October, the dinner show has been given a special spooktacular update.  There are spooky props, decorations and costumes. Guests are also encouraged to come in costume. As previously mentioned, desserts and drinks are also Halloween themed.

Cost

The dinner show costs $32.99 for adults and $21.99 for kids 4 and up and Seniors 60 and up.

Show Time

The show is performed every evening at 6PM and on Fridays and Saturdays they also have an 8PM show. Doors open 30 minutes before show time.

Go or No Go

The show is a definite Go. It was fun for me and the tween, who is usually hard to please. Also, the price is hard to beat for Orlando entertainment.

Disclosure: We received free tickets to the show to facilitate this review. As always, all opinions are our own.
