The Sanford Mardi Gras Street Party is dancing into Downtown Sanford on Saturday, Feb. 18.  So grab your beads and join the party as Historic Downtown Sanford will be bringing the Big Easy to Central Florida with the ninth annual Mardi Gras Street Party.  Guests can enjoy great food, music and fun all while supporting a great cause at this beloved community event.

The festival, hosted by The West End Trading Co. and Historic Downtown Sanford®, will take place in the ‘Famous L’ of beautiful Historic Downtown Sanford and features food trucks, live music, craft beer, cocktails and more.

The event features a parade that runs from 6th Street and Sanford Avenue to ‘The Famous L’ between West End Trading Co. and Celery City Craft where the party continues after the parade. Guests can start gathering at the start of the parade at 3:30 p.m. When the clock strikes 4 p.m., attendees will sashay (and maybe shante) their way down Sanford Avenue alongside musicians, dancers, artists and maybe a few golf carts as well.

Make sure to bring a mask with you like this butterfly mask or this Greek/Roman soldier mask.

It’s a great way for the community to support Meals on Wheels and enjoy local vendors, live music and delicious food and drink.”

The Sanford Mardi Gras Street Party is a party with a purpose and proceeds will benefit Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels has been providing home-delivered meals and transportation services to the seniors of Seminole County since 1973. In the past eight years, the Mardi Gras Street Party has raised thousands of dollars for this charity.
