Canova Beach

Canova Beach is Brevard County’s only pet friendly beach.  Located in Indian Harbour Beach, it stretches over nine miles and is fun for the entire family.  There is even a pavilion for the entire family to enjoy food and fun while the fur babies play.

Hightower Beach Park

Located in beautiful Satellite Beach, Hightower Beach has great waves for surfers and beautiful waters for swimming.  If you are in the mood to just soak up some rays and people watch, well, Hightower Beach has that for you too.  you can find some delicious eats for the family up and down route A1A.

Indialantic Boardwalk and Park

Drive all the way down state road 192 and you will find Indialantic Boardwalk and Park.  It is a smaller beach with free public parking but still offers the entire family a great day of fun swimming and hanging out.  If there is a surfer in your group, this beach has up to eight foot swells!  Fresh fish is the catch of the day at any of the local food spots.

Jetty Park Beach and Campground

Jetty Park has it all – one of the best beaches in Brevard with calm waters and where, on a good day, you can probably see a manatee or a dolphin enjoying a swim too.  If camping is your thing, load up the family and the camper and head out to the park where they have all the “glamping” amenities to make your visit awesome.

Juan Ponce de Léon Landing

This beach has both history and beauty.  Located in the Melbourne Beach area, the Juan Ponce de Léon Landing offers beachcombers the story of his historic landing in Melbourne Beach in 1513.  While this beach offers beautiful sands and waters to play in, it doesn’t quite offer the amenities you may get at other beaches.  Take the kiddos and pack a blanket and people watch all day long!

Melbourne Beach

Pretty city and pretty beach.  Melbourne Beach and the surrounding community is well worth a day trip, maybe even a weekend visit.  The beach has great waves for surfing and snorkeling and when you are all done at the beach, take the kiddos to check out some of the local eateries and shops in town too.

Paradise Beach

The name says it all, right?  Paradise Beach is located on A1A in Melbourne.  There is a little something for everyone in the family – a playground for the little ones, beach volleyball for the older kiddos, and a great grilling area and pavilion for the family to enjoy food and fun.  The beach provides great waves for a little surfing and not too rough for swimming.

Pelican Beach and Park

A local spot that is loved by surfers, Pelican Beach and Park is a great day trip for the entire family.  There are several pavilions that can be used for a cookout or large family gathering and the volleyball courts are available to pavilion renters on the weekend.  There is a playground for the little ones too and the accommodations are fairly new as the entire park area was renovated in 2007.  If you are looking for a local hotspot to grab something quick, check out Da Kine Diego’s Insane Burritos.

Playalinda Beach

Playalinda Beach is a little north of the Melbourne area, but so worth the trip.  It is a national park and one of the best places on the Space Coast to see a rocket launch.  Playalinda Beach is a clothing optional beach; there is a special entrance to the beach that naturalists use so it is very easy to avoid that particular area of the beach.  The beach area itself does not have any concession stands but you can certainly drive into Titusville and enjoy all kinds of goodies.

Spessard Holland South Beach Park

Spessard Holland Beach is a favorite among the Melbourne locals.  It is a small, intimate beach but very family oriented.  If your family loves the great outdoors, then you will enjoy the fishing, surfing, and beachcombing that Spessard Holland offers.
