Legoland Florida Brick or Treat: Fun Halloween Fun
I have been in Florida for 3.5 years and I finally made it to Legoland Florida this past weekend for Brick or Treat. My husband had been in the past and my kids had been multiple times; I was the only one in the family that hadn’t made it yet. I didn’t know what I was missing out on. Yes, it is a smaller park than the behemoths we have in Orlando, but that was one of the things that I loved about it.

What is Brick or Treat?
Brick or Treat is Legoland’s Halloween event that is being held every weekend in October. Some of the highlights of Brick or Treat are:
- The park is decorated in fun Halloween decorations and characters are dressed up in their Halloween costumes as well. The characters appear around the park for kids to see.
- They have two not too spooky Halloween shows. We only got to see one of the shows, A Candy Coated Curse, which is about kids who get trapped in a haunted building on Halloween night.
- Both kids enjoyed the show and were singing and bopping along to the music. They also loved that the show incorporated “magic” and that they were able to see some cool magic tricks. There is also a second show called The Groovin Graveyard, but we weren’t able to see that one; maybe next year!
- There is trick or treating around the park. My kids really loved the fact that they could trick or treat around the park. (bring your own bag or Legoland provides one). There were a lot of spots available and some were busier than others, but each location gave a good amount of candy, so don’t feel that you need to hit all of them.
Combine all of these additional items with the regular Legoland rides and it definitely makes for a great day out with the kids. If you want to know more about what there is to do at Legoland, take a look at this post.
What safety precautions is Legoland taking?
There were a few different safety precautions we saw Legoland taking that day that made us feel safer.
- There is hand sanitizer at the beginning and end of each ride. When we found a few stations out, we let a manager know and they immediately radioed someone to fill them in.
- There were bricks on the ground when waiting on lines to show people where to stand so they were spaced out.
- In the show, they only sat people in every other row, and sections were blocked off between each family/group.
- For trick or treating, candy was given to each child via a candy tube instead of having the kids get up close.
What else is there to do?
While we didn’t go to the Waterpark, it is also open during Brick or Treat.
You are also able to stay over at Legoland for a night or two and make a little staycation out of it. Legoland now has 3 hotels, Legoland Hotel, the Beach Retreat and the Pirate Hotel. I have to say, the Pirate Hotel looked pretty cool and was calling my name for a future stay.
Where is Legoland Florida?
Legoland Florida is located in Winter Haven, Florida and can take about 45 minutes to 1 hour to get there from Orlando. Most of the driving is done on a local road with lights, so it really depends on how many cars are on the road and how many red lights you hit along the way. But it really isn’t a bad drive to get there.
We had a great day out at Legoland Florida and would definitely recommend that you take the kids.
