Scooter Scavenger Hunt

Scooter Scavenger Hunt is an ongoing event that started in February with 4 locations.  As each week passes another location falls off the list. Join in this week’s Scooter Scavenger Hunt at West Orange Trail – Chapin Station — check the front door to begin, through March 12, 2021, and after that Orlo Vista Park until March 19, 2021.  Be the first to find all the clues and win fun prizes!

Bookshelf Diorama: Hogwarts or Narnia

This virtual DIY craft project hosted by Winter Park Public Library will spark creativity in your teen.  They choose between a Hogwarts or Narnia Diorama, and get to crafting.  Once you register the link will be emailed to you, pre-registration is required because space is limited.

Barkfest

Longwood’s annual Barkfest is a barking fun event that welcomes animal lovers of all ages.  Check out their fun activities, demonstrations, and local vendors.

Join The Mennello Museum of American Art for their Free Family Fun Day.  Enjoy free admission as well as a take home art project.  Arrive between 12:00pm and 2:30pm for free admission, and enjoy the museum until close at 4:30.

Build and Grow

Lowe’s features a Build and Grow workshop each month to inspire building and self confidence in their DIY skill sets. Simply pre-register at your nearest Lowe’s store and pick up your building kit to participate.

Zoomin at the Zoo

Your kids will love this virtual class!  Zoomin at the Zoo is a zoom meeting all about animals that will take place from the classroom inside the Central Florida Zoo.  Children will meet animals and have the chance to ask the CFLZoo Education team members questions.  Zoom link will be emailed to you, pre-registration is required because space is limited.

Avalon Park’s Food Truck Night unites the community for this family fun event.  It features local food trucks, music, games, and neighborhood fun.

Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby

Promenade at Sunset Walk hosts Cub Scouts of Clermont Pack 957’s annual Pinewood Derby.  Watch as these unpowered unmanned miniature cars race to the finish.

Taste of Oviedo

Have a day of fun at the 27th annual Taste of Oviedo festival.  Live music, food vendors, and a free kids activity area will surely bring about a day of smiles and outdoor fun.  Free Parking at Oviedo Mall.

Longwood Pirate Seafood Festival 

Reiter Park will host the Longwood Pirate Seafood Festival.  Take a free shark ride, or hang out with a mermaid or two.   While there will be plenty of seafood, landlubbers will have plenty of yummy food options too.  Free Parking at the Hospital.

Penelope – Princess of Peacocks

Join Winter Park History Museum’s children’s program Penelope – Princess of Peacocks.  Penelope engages children infant to 5 years old in a storyland with music and dancing.  For now, classes are held virtually on their YouTube Channel.

Kids Club Online, Spring Make Camp

Join Michaels in the month of March for their Kids Club Online, Spring Make Camp.  Sign up for a different craft or art project almost every day.  Art projects like a compass art day, rolled paper flower art, and rock painting are just a few fun items on the list this month.  Pre register and you’ll receive the supplies list for each project.
