Family New Year’s Eve Celebrations
Here is a list of fun things New Year’s Eve celebrations, both virtual and in person, to help you ring in the new year.
DJ Squirm – A – Lot’s New Year’s Eve Bash
Join DJ Squirm and friends from the Story Pirates on a super fun live Zoom on December 31 starting at 3pm (eastern time). DJ Squirm – A – Lot’s New Year’s Eve Bash will have games, songs, and perhaps a visit from a grumpy ice dragon! You will have to purchase a party pass to get the link to the event.
Downtown Countdown at Glazer Children’s Museum
Take the whole family and make your way to Tampa to the Downtown Countdown at the Glazer Children’s Museum. Included in the price of admission, your family can experience family play projects, countdowns, and other fun stuff from 10am to 3pm on December 31.
Jazzberry Jammin’ New Year’s Eve at Crayola Experience Orlando
Why wait until midnight to ring in the new year? Checkout the Jazzberry Jammin’ New Year’s Eve at Crayola Experience Orlando and ring in the new year in the afternoon. On December 31 from 12pm to 4pm, the family can jam at the DJ dance party, enjoy the streamer countdowns at 1pm and 3pm, and so much more!
Kids and Toddlers NYE Daytime Party
Looking for somewhere to celebrate with the kiddos during the day before you celebrate New Year’s Eve night? Well, look no further that the Kids and Toddlers NYE Daytime Party at SpinNations Skating Center in Port Richey. Take a trip over there on December 31 from 1pm – 4pm and enjoy skating cool music and games, and a balloon drop too!
LEGOLAND New Year’s Eve Celebration
Starting December 26 through December 31, LEGOLAND New Year’s Eve Celebration will be in full swing. Bring the whole family to enjoy the theme park during the day and then enjoy the fireworks and the LEGO bricks as they light up the night sky all at a kid friendly time of 8pm.
Little Shredders New Year’s Eve Event
For your little daredevils, this is a great event for them! Check out the Little Shredders New Year’s Eve Event on December 31 at 4pm at Adrenaline Bike Works. After the event, there will be hot dogs and ice cream and a cool kid toast to 2022.
Lost Pearl Noon Year’s Eve Water Taxi Cruise
Take the family along and celebrate the New Year early on this hour and fifteen minute cruise. Board the pirate taxi and take The Lost Pearl Noon Year’s Eve Water Cruise in Tampa and experience fun games and activities, a cannon ”ball” drop, with complimentary champagne (must be 21 and older) and sparkling juice for the little ones.
New Year’s at the Grove
This one is worth the weekend getaway. Spend New Year’s at the Grove with your family and enjoy all that the resort has to offer. On December 31, enjoy the Grove Gatsby’s New Year’s Bash for the grownups and right next door the kiddos will have their own party with food, fun, and festivities with a balloon drop at midnight.
New Year’s Eve at Old Town
Say goodbye to 2021 at the New Year’s Eve at Old Town bash. Bring the family along on December 31 starting at 1pm and check out the classic car show, live entertainment, and a free concert. Stick around for the fireworks show at midnight and the whole event is free!
New Year’s Eve at Seaworld
Spend the day at Seaworld enjoying the theme park and then spend the night to ring in 2022 with all your new marine friends! New Year’s Eve at Seaworld. There will be exciting shows with a great fireworks finale that you can see from anywhere in the park.
New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop and Skating
Skate straight into 2022 at the New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop and Skating at Skateworld in Lakeland. They are offering two skate times; 12pm to 4pm and 7pm to 10pm with a fun balloon drop during each session. Although this event is family friendly, it is better suited to elementary aged children and older.
New Year’s Eve Celebration and Fireworks Display
Take a day trip or make it a weekend – whatever you choose, head over to the New Year’s Eve Celebration and Fireworks Display at Fishermen’s Village in Punta Gorda. Relax and enjoy the day with tons of activities, music and dancing, and at midnight there will be awesome fireworks too. This is a free family event starting at 6pm.
New Year’s Eve Family Paint Night
Paint your way into 2022! The New Year’s Eve Family Paint Night is a virtual event being hosted by Creole Creative Canvases on December 31 at 7pm. Once you register for the event, they will send you the paint kit and you’ll be ready paint away 2021 and say hello to 2022.
New Year’s Eve Party on the Piazza
Loews Portofino Bay Hotel is hosting the New Year’s Eve Party on the Piazza. This family friendly event will be held on the Harbor Piazza with food, desserts, music, and more.
New Year’s Sleepover at the Orlando Metro Gymnastics
Tumbling, pizza, and a bounce house – oh my! If you are looking for something a little different for your five to seventeen year old, then try the New Year’s Sleepover at the Orlando Metro Gymnastics. From 6:30pm to 8:30am the next morning, your kiddo will enjoy a dance party, games, contests, and then have breakfast the next morning. There is a cost to this event and the spaces are filling quickly.
Noon Year’s Eve at Monkey Joe’s
This one has everything you are looking for – your kiddos will have fun, burn off some energy, and meet some new friends to help them ring in the new year! Get the kiddos to Noon Year’s Eve at Monkey Joe’s by 10am on December 31so they can rock out on the inflatables and the obstacle courses. The countdown to 12 noon will be filled with fun for the whole family!
Noon Year’s Eve at the Seminole County Library
Kick off the New Year a little earlier with this fun event! Gather the kiddies and head out to Noon Year’s Eve Seminole County Library East Branch Oviedo on December 30 from 11am – 12pm. This free event is open to all but the activities will be geared towards preschool and elementary school children. There will be music, crafts, and other fun stuff for the family to enjoy.
Rockin’ Rockfish Noon Year’s Eve
The virtual party, Rockin’ Rockfish Noon Year’s Eve, is free to everyone via YouTube. It will start at 11:30am (Pacific time) or 2:30pm (Eastern time)Held at the Seattle Aquarium, the entire family will learn about some of the sea life there while rocking out with Mikey the Rad Scientist. Registration closes by 10am on December 3. So do it early because your kiddos are not going to want to miss this one.
Virtual Balloon Drop New Year’s Celebration
The Chabot Space and Science Center is holding their twentieth annual balloon drop this year, virtually. The Virtual Balloon Drop New Year’s Celebration will take place on December 31 starting at 11am (pacific time), 2pm (eastern time.) If you sign your children up for this event, they will receive a STEM kit that your kiddo will do during the live event. The party will end with a special New Year’s drink recipe for the entire family to enjoy and a balloon drop with hundreds of biodegradable balloons. The little scientist in your home will love this! There is a cost to this event.
Virtual New Year’s Eve Party
Still a little sheepish about having folks over to the house? Well, have your tween or teen host their own Virtual New Year’s Eve Party! Whip up some mocktails, have them dress up fancy, and then watch the ball drop at midnight.
