Family Friendly New Year’s Eve Celebrations in Orlando

Just because you have kids, doesn’t mean that you can’t ring in 2017 in style. In fact, you might want to ring it in with them! Because New Year’s Eve falls on a Saturday this year, there are some events early and some late, but there are a few great options for singing Auld Lang Syne with the whole family.

Noon Year’s Eve

The Orlando Science Center hosts a balloon drop for everyone who can and can’t stay awake until 12AM – at noon. There will also be crafts, activities, and other special celebrations. In addition, Noon Year’s Eve is included with admission to the Science Center, which includes live programming and four floors of science exhibits.

Happy Noon Year

The Orange County Library System will be hosting Noon Year’s Eve – a party for children ages 3-8, with games and activities in both the Windermere Branch and at the Orlando Public Library. There will also be a countdown at noon. Registration and a library card are required for both events.

Baby Boogie Bash

It’s a New Year’s Eve dance party … at 11:30. The Baby Boogie Bash is a disco party offers real music from the 80’s to today, lights, and plenty of fun. The event is limited to 40 children, and tickets are available online for an extra fee.

Dave and Buster’s

Ring in the New Year with games. Dave and Buster’s is hosting a family New Yea’rs Eve event, featuring an appetizer and dessert buffet (with chocolate fountain) and games. The party will end with a video ball drop. This event runs until 8pm, after which, Dave and Buster’s becomes adults only.

Medieval Times

In addition to the tournament that happens three times that night, at the 9:30 performance, Medieval Times will feature a special New Year’s Eve champagne toast (with non-alcoholic drinks for the kids), music, and, as an added touch, a continental breakfast at midnight.
