Here are 8 fun things to do in Orlando this weekend!

1. Orlando Brick Convention (for your LEGO-obsessed kid and let’s be honest, for you too)

If your child has ever dumped an entire bin of LEGOs on the living room floor and called it a “project,” this weekend is their Super Bowl. The Brick Convention rolls into the Central Florida Fairgrounds with life-sized LEGO builds, a Star Wars Zone, interactive brick pits, and professional LEGO artist meet-and-greets. Heads up though — tickets are expected to sell out fast, so grab them online rather than risk showing up at the door.

Date: Saturday–Sunday, June 6–7
Location: Central Florida Fairgrounds, 4603 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando
Cost: $15 online, $20 at the door. Kids 2 and under are free.

2. Silver Spurs Rodeo (giddy up, y’all)

School’s out and the rodeo is in! The Silver Spurs Rodeo is one of those quintessential Central Florida traditions that honestly never gets old. Watch the sport of rodeo’s seven traditional events: bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, team roping, steer wrestling, and women’s barrel racing.

The arena is climate-controlled too; listen, it’s June in Florida so that matters. Bonus: all veterans can pick up a voucher in the lobby for a free hotdog or hamburger and a drink with their paid admission and proof of service.

Date: Friday–Saturday, June 5–6, 7:30 p.m.
Location: Silver Spurs Arena, Osceola Heritage Park, 1875 Silver Spur Lane, Kissimmee
Cost: $15 per child ages 4–10; $25 per adult (Silver seats); $35 per adult (Gold seats)

3. Outdoor Movie Night: Labyrinth at Leu Gardens (this one’s for the mamas)

Okay technically it’s for the whole family, but let’s call it what it is: a nostalgic excuse for us to relive our childhoods while the kids discover David Bowie for the first time.

Harry P. Leu Gardens is hosting an outdoor screening of the 1986 cult classic Labyrinth on Friday, June 5. The gardens open at 7 p.m. and the movie starts at 8:30 p.m. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and settle in. Space is limited and first-come, first-served, so Leu recommends arriving at least 30 minutes before showtime.

Date: Friday, June 5, gates open 7 p.m. / movie at 8:30 p.m.
Location: Harry P. Leu Gardens, 1920 N. Forest Ave., Orlando
Cost: $15 for adults, $10 for children, free for kids under 4, active military, and Leu members

If you’re heading to Leu Gardens for the movie Friday night, come back Sunday for this one. The enchanted Fairy Doors exhibit runs June 8 through September 7, 2026, featuring twenty unique, whimsical fairy doors tucked away throughout the gardens.

It’s the sweetest little scavenger hunt for elementary-aged kids; they will absolutely lose their minds trying to find every single one. Wear comfy shoes and bring your camera.

Date: Opens Sunday, June 8 (runs through September 7)
Location: Harry P. Leu Gardens, 1920 N. Forest Ave., Orlando
Cost: Regular garden admission applies (check leugardens.org for current pricing)

This one’s a gem if you have a BofA or Merrill card in your wallet. During the first full weekend of every month, Bank of America and Merrill cardholders get free general admission at more than 225 cultural institutions, including Orlando Science Center, Orange County History Center, Mennello Museum of American Art and more.

This is the kind of low key, educational activity that feels like a win for everyone; the kids think it’s fun, and you get to feel like a great mom. Double win.

7. Winter Garden Farmers Market 18th Birthday Party

The Winter Garden Farmers Market has been a Saturday morning staple in this community for 18 years and this weekend they’re throwing themselves a party and inviting everyone.

The free birthday celebration includes a DJ with kids’ activities, face painting, snow cones, and kids’ crafts. Show up early, grab some fresh produce and baked goods from the 100+ vendors, then let the kids run around on the lawn while you sip your coffee in peace.

Right next to the market, kids can splash in the Downtown Interactive Fountain and spread out at the Butterfly Sculpture Park. Honestly, this is my kind of Saturday morning.

Date: Saturday, June 6, market 8 a.m.–1 p.m. / birthday activities 9 a.m.–noon
Location: Downtown Pavilion, 104 S. Lakeview Ave., Winter Garden
Cost: Free

8. Florida License-Free Saltwater Fishing Weekend (grab a rod and head to the water)

If you’ve been meaning to take the kids fishing but keep putting it off because of licenses and logistics, this weekend just removed your last excuse. June 6 and 7 are Florida’s license-free fishing days, meaning the license requirement is waived for all recreational anglers in saltwater.

Pack some snacks, grab bait from your local tackle shop, and head to one of Central Florida’s many lakes or piers. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Some of the best family memories happen on a dock with a cheap rod and zero expectations. It’s perfect for introducing kids to fishing or for avid anglers to bring along a friend who’s never tried it.

Dates: Saturday–Sunday, June 6–7
Location: Any saltwater location throughout Central Florida
Cost: Free (no license required this weekend)
